Various breast reduction procedures are commonly referred to as “Top Surgery” and is thought to be one of the first procedures transmen seek, particulary because of the obtrusive nature of breast tissue. Top Surgery removes the need for many to “bind” their chest, leaving the individual more comfortable (and cooler!) in their clothing – of course, this is in addition to the psychological benefits of feeling more content with a “bio-male” contour of the chest.
